John Iliff

News is circulating around the blogosphere today that John Iliff of PALINET passed away last weekend. John did a huge amount of work promotion emerging technologies. I had the opportunity to meet him briefly at Computers In Libraries and talk a little podcasting. His presentations, both in person and online, conveneyed a great enthusiasm about libraries and technology. He was able to speak to both the techie and non-techie at their level and get everybody excited about his topics and working in libraries. I was going to have the opportunity to work with him later this year and will definitely miss that interaction.
