On Thursday, December 4 a little meme broke out on Twitter where people posted "Twitter is like..." thoughts. Here are as many of them as I could find. Names have been removed to protect the innocent. Sorry for the delay in posting, I've been sick with The Plague. Or whatever most cases of the plague actually were. I can't remember if that was a real conversation or an episode of House. But I have the real convo option narrowed to two parties. Anyway...

Return of the Twitter

Working on my presentation for IL, working on my schedule, and talking to friends about meet-ups for dinner and drinks and general catching up, is getting me back into the library world groove quite nicely after a little absence. In fact, I visited Twitter today for the first time in a long time. They've made a few cosmetic changes that look pretty nifty. I'll most likely be tweeting in Monterey, and who knows, maybe I'll keep going after that. Add me if you're going to IL. Or care about what I'm doing there.

I plan on blogging from Monterey as well. And posting pics on Flickr. I honestly haven't been very excited about any of this since I moved to Chicago, so I'm looking forward to getting back into it.

Thanks to everyone who came to the BIGWIG Social Software Showcase roundtable on Saturday. The organizers went out on a huge limb to put together the program and I'm sure appreciate you too. We had a great conversation at the Twitter Table. The session went much longer than the scheduled hour and there was great conversation and debate at other tables too. And there was much live tweeting going on.

Make sure to take a look at the BIGWIG Social Software Showcase wiki and check out all the great presentations. That's the great thing about an online conference. You don't have to be there to learn something.
